Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Naithan Weigh ("I", "me", "my") collects, uses and discloses your information when you visit naithanweigh.com (the "Site").

Information I collect

• Information you provide directly: when you sign up for my email newsletter, I collect your email address and, optionally, your first name. The form is processed by Mailchimp.
• Analytics: I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. It collects information such as your IP address (which may be anonymized), browser type, operating system, referring URLs, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this.
• Fonts: the Site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them from Google's servers, Google receives your IP address, the requested URL and your browser's request headers, including the user agent and referring page. Google says it uses the IP address to answer the request and for security, and that the Google Fonts API does not set or log cookies.

How I use your information

• To send emails: if you subscribe to my newsletter, I use your name and email address to send occasional updates, mindfulness tips and news about my books, through Mailchimp.
• To improve the Site: I use the data from Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the Site and to make improvements.

Sharing your information

I do not sell or rent your personal information. It is shared with these service providers only as needed to provide the services described above:

• Mailchimp (Intuit): stores your name and email address when you subscribe. See the Intuit privacy statement.
• Google Analytics: receives usage data for website analytics. See Google's privacy policy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics.
• Google Fonts: receives the font requests described above. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

I may also disclose information if required by law.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites remember information about your visit. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect usage data. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings; disabling them may affect how some websites work.

Data security

I take reasonable steps to protect the information I collect, but no internet transmission is completely secure. Newsletter data is stored and secured by Mailchimp under its own security practices.

Your rights

• Access and update: you can update your subscription details through the "Update Profile" link in the footer of my emails.
• Unsubscribe: you can unsubscribe at any time with the "Unsubscribe" link in the footer of every email.
• Other rights: depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have further rights, such as data portability or deletion. Email me to exercise them.

Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision.
